Hello.

I’m Casey. 👋

I am an award-winning video journalist and newsroom leader with 8+ years experience working across several social, streaming and broadcast platforms. I specialize in leading teams who create highly-engaging visual journalism that reaches new audiences.

I currently serve as the first-ever head of digital + social video at The Associated Press. I lead a team of seven producers and curators tasked with reinventing AP's visual presence on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, APNews.com and more. So far, we featured more than 125 journalists in our content and contributed to record-levels of video growth across social + site.

My previous role was at The Washington Post, where I built our social video strategy and won a Webby Award for “Best Use of Vertical Video.” While Instagram was my primary focus, hundreds of our reporter dispatches, explainers and viral videos appeared across other social platforms, as well as The Post’s site and app.

I was also an NBC News producer who was part of the team that launched NBC News Now (their 24/7 streaming network) and Stay Tuned (the first daily news show on Snapchat). My mini-docs and news segments were also featured on TODAY, MSNBC, Meet the Press and NBC’s local affiliates.

I care a lot about the future of news and how journalists can use video storytelling to reach new audiences.
